On Saturday May 13, 2006, Team Bulldog will be holding New Jersey's first ever High School and Middle School Championships along with a Junior Race (from ages five up). The location of the event will be at Kitattinny Valley State Park, in beautiful Andover, NJ.
We will have age appropriate loops and distances and the focus will be on fun! Let's work together to introduce some new kids to the great sport of mountain bike racing. The races will be seperated by age and gender and every racer (age 12 and under) will get some sort of prize for participation. We will also have prizes for the top finishers in each race.
We encourage every kid with a bike with fat tires to come out and have some fun with Team Bulldog!
The High School and Middle School Championship Race will be held earlier that day, with boy's A (experienced), girl's A (experienced), boy's B (novice), and girl's B (novice). Come out and try your hand at mountain bike racing and bring home the gold for your school! You could be crowned the first ever State High School Mountain Bike Champion!
We will also be looking for volunteers to help us at the this event--course marshalls, score keeps, ride leaders, etc. If you are interested, please e-mail Brian Lariviere at lavalere@aol.com.
(Parent's and/or legal guardians must be on-site to sign the rider release form and must stay during their child's race.)
