MCPS has just sent me a new batch of maintenance dates, so be sure to check out the calendar on the JORBA web site. As with all MCPS trail maintenance sessions volunteers are required to complete a training session before being allowed to join in on the fun. The training will not just give you a basic working knowledge on what the park system is trying to do, it will give you a lot of good information on th proper way to work safely, and finally it will cover you in case of injury. ( We have not had an injury during a session that I know of, and I have been a MCPS volunteer for 17 years, and I hope to keep it that way. See you on the trail.
