New to MTB!!

Hi All,

I'm 48 and interested in getting back into shape so I've been mountain biking w/ my 10 year old son.

We've tried Allaire (our favorite so far), Clayton, Manasquan and Turkey Swamp (we live 1 mile away) so far.

We really enjoyed all of the trails above (even though we had to walk our bikes through some difficult areas).

Can anyone make some more suggestions in the Central NJ area? We live in Freehold.

6 mile run in Franklin township, great set of trails for beginners all trails are clearly marked
 
Welcome aboard as others have said Alaire and 6 mile are fun parks that are colse there is also Mercer which has some neat trail as well. just remember the whole point is to enjoy yourselves out there and be safe.

why yes I forgot to mention that 🙂 this is a great bunch of people that come out on Tuesday evenings to ride it is a JORBA ride so you need to wear a helmet and have a sense of humor. The bad thing is it looks like next Tuesday might be our last one for the season due to the lack of light..But we will be doing rides on the week ends and we always have a post TM ride that is a good time as well. Hope to see you guys out for some rides.
