I just received this bike and knew the rear shock was too soft. Apparently they remove the air for shipping. ( After a 5 hour round valley loop). What psi range is there for a fox floatR rear shock? If it matters I'm 160 5'7"
I'd like to order brake pads, and new tires as well. The rear is 26 x 2.1 front 26X 2.7. Thanks for the help, I know I'll have more questions...

Brakes: Hayes Nine Hydraulic Disc (rear); Avid Elixir 5 Hydraulic Disc (front)
Brake Type: Hydraulic Disc
Wheelset: Front: Mavic X 317 Disc rim with CODA Expert hub and Bontrager Big Earl tire; Rear: Bontrager Big Earl hub and rim, Geax Gato tire
Shifters: Shimano Deore
Crankset: CODA CF1, 22/32/44 teeth; Salsa Chain Ring Guard

The bike came with 26 x 2.7 front and 26x 2.1 rear tires. I need to replace them is this a good balance? Trails and some downhill

Establish with a local shop - you'll get more fit info, and the right part that way.
if brake pads cost a few dollars more, but they know the starting point for your shock,
and then ask about your riding style, and tell you to +/- 20, it would be totally worth it.

Pop's in Somerville -
Trek in Sterling (i haven't been there since they changed to a factory store)
HB in Madison or Summit
Halters in Montgomery
Not sure what else is local
