Excited for the trail but 100ft wide seems a bit excessive no?

Maybe it was a conversion/typo ?Excited for the trail but 100ft wide seems a bit excessive no?
Then they should have added depth to the specs.I am sure so many people have been waiting to travel through beautiful Belleville, Newark, Kearny, Secaucus and Jersey City. The only thing this trail will be used for is another place to dump bodies.
100' long, 9 miles wide."Turn an old, defunct nine-mile railroad line into a 100-foot-wide biking and hiking path."
Agreed, did they mean 10'? Or maybe the property/Right of Way is 100' wide in total and they'll use it to center the trail?
In any case it good to see.
HHAA I was thinking the same exact thing when this first came out. That stretch through the Meadowlands and Jersey City is probably not gonna be that safe especially if you are by yourself and on foot. It would be great if this does happen but don't hold your breath. This is NJ after all.Yeah, just another spot to get murdered.
Some great pics! Most of that route looks like a muggers paradise. Just bring a fast bike and a bat!Walking the Newark Branch

Hhhhaaaa And before anyone gets too excited the 15 years they are saying they are going to take to build this will probably turn into 20+ especially if they haven't done any environmental studies yet or received the approvals from all the agencies this is cutting through.
That runs right through the property I used to work on. Crack houses and scumbags galore.
Believe it or not I went to college in Newark for 4 years and didn't get stabbed, shot or killed once.
