Installing new MTB trails in High Bridge NJ. It's taken me a year to get project approved. Now we've begun and have already roughed in about 1.5 miles of trail. The trail head is located at approximately 78 Nassau Rd in High Bridge NJ. Follow us here and on FB under High Bridge Hill Toppers / Nassau Trail. Come give us a hand. J. Oliver

Hello Jeff, welcome.

This is very cool. Don't you have a TM coming up like tomorrow or something? Wish I could help out but I'm [washing my hair]...ah, actually going to NYC tomorrow. This is because I so rarely go to NYC I can't pass up the chance. That I get to spend it with my in-laws is even more of a reason I can't miss it, since I love that so much.

Anyway, thanks for the effort. Let me know if you want to try to put on a short track race there 😀

Hey welcome ??!! Sounds great and good to see that something new has popped up !! What kind of style trails do you have laid out? I don't mind lending a Han either 🙂

Nassau Trails

Yes, we are working tomorrow and Sun. I can't be there tomorrow, so I don't know the exact time. Sun at 9am. 78 Nassau Rd in HB on your GPS. Come on out. Tight singletrack. it's going to be pretty windy because space is tight in the area I got approved. The good news is that there is room to grow. I am more of a roadie, actually. I promoted the Tour of High Bridge RR this year. I do want to hold short track MTB races there once we get the trail installed though. Maybe some trail runs as well. Town is very supportive because of outdoor economic development plan and history with Tour of HB.

when the time comes...how do I get the Mods to add a trail section for us...?

You can ask me, or have Jeremy text me incessantly until I do it.

If you're for real on the race thing that would be a good thing. No better way to get yourself on the map than to have a race there. We had good luck with the fall short track series.

I registered for ToHB but my wife was sick, so I was SoL.

Trust me, if I can get 4+ miles in MTB racing will come to HB. I purposefully mentioned it in my proposal to council. The ToHB is very expensive to pull off because of the police costs. I could do a MTB race on 25% of the budget and have a sweet event. Mark it down. I need troops to get this thing completed though.

We got tons of bench cutting done today.

This place may not ever have a ton of miles to ride, and its not going to be very technical. But what is there will be extremely well sculpted with flow in mind.

Any update on the trail work etc?

I didn't make it back on Sunday. Maybe Jeff will see this and post something.

I know they are planning on working every weekend until the ground is too frozen. So if you're free....

Thatcher is working on Saturday weather permitting. probably at 9am, but I will try and confirm.
