As part of RSG's commitment to giving back to the trail systems used in their events,
we will be heading in on Wednesday to trim back the face slappers, p/u the derailleur eaters,
or whatever else is needed in the park. (as directed by Andrew or Jeff ??)

Meet at the Upper/big (south?) lot on Nassau Rd -

First group goes at 3pm, second wave at 5:30pm.

Bring your favorite trimming tool (no gas powered tools), bug spray, gloves, and water.

Apparently, there is a giant hole and pipe that needs remediation. Near the lower lot. There are people bringing tools and.material.

Need someone to walk through the springside field and toss all the clippings I made with the hedge trimmer off the trail. Then go into the trail and trim face slappers.

I'm getting a tree on the Nassau side.

JORBA stepped-up and lent a brush hog and a couple of gas powered scythes.
Same animals used at 6MR the other day.

I worked during the day - 1 person job anyway.

At 5:30 a group from Highbridge came, including some of the rec dept, and town council!
Plus some "regulars" - maybe 10 total. Good group - they split up and worked the trails,
and took on the face slappers. In addition, we did a fill in project in the lower lot,
and filled a bad hole at the entrance to the springside connector.

This is the field trail on Springside - it was way overgrown.

We use the connector to get up to the CT. There is another trail that goes up to the dam.

To Springside!

Notice the new signage. Rather than covering the closed sign with a garbage bag.

Good stuff -
