this is what going off the deep end looks like:
A. latest photo editing computer for my wife
B. old family computer, still used in emergencies or if I need to log data from many tests
C. hole where my cheapo laptop sits (used by my older one for the one thing the school laptop does not do)
D. monitor for "C"
H. my livelihood (main laptop)
E. monitor for "H"
F. monitor for "H"
G. Linux laptop I use for things windows can't do

this does not include:
- work laptop wife set up in guest bedroom
- older one's macbook and school chromebook
- younger one's game machine, personal chromebook, and school chromebook

how do I keep all this fed, you ask:
1. xfinity GiB box in bridge (a.k.a. give me my modem and butt out) mode
2. ubiquiti edge router
3. ubiquiti POE switch, driving:
i. ubiquiti 802.11ac POE wifi AP; in the upstairs corridor ceiling
ii. ubiquiti 802.11ac wall POE wifi AP with two ethernet ports; behind the family room TV covering downstairs and running TV & PS4 wired
4. NAS drive
5. UPS

run debian/wsl on the windows box! it cracks me up to do this, but i do it. also have it on the chromebox, so that is fun.
and RDP for chrome, to get to windows...and a linux VM in there too.

Here is a picture of an apricot flower! i think. Tree is full of them!
and the bees are out.

Ok, feel good post for today:
My sons bar mitzvah is in May (hopefully!) and had part of his prep for that, he has to do a community project. So, we collected bikes for the Trenton Bike Exchange, which benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Trenton. All said and done, we collected 38 bikes of all sizes and they were picked up today.

Hey, that tractor that came back to life needed a belt. Tractor supply didn't answer the phone, so
imported from amazonia. Took a little to get it on there - lots of retainers to loosen, reattach.
given it broke because it jumped off the pulley, you'd thing they would do a better job.

anywho...

They must have a great alg for picking the cover frame.....

You got Ira in the pic! Love this. I volunteer there, and we will turn these bikes into after-school kids programs! Thanks!
