I have heard a rumor that the mushroom pictured in my picture is going to be torn down as well as the boot. That place was like a landmark for years. Just another era gone, I guess.

I just asked my wife if she has heard the rumor; she hasn't. She's plugged in to things in the area (PTA, Women's Club, etc.) and she usually knows what is going on around town. Of course, just because she hasn't heard doesn't mean it isn't true.

You should try to contact them; maybe they'll let you have it and you can put it in your front yard😉

The weird thing about the Fairy Tale Forest was that it stayed open as long as it did. I really didn't see the appeal, at all. The kids were bored with it pretty quick too. Man, that was a long, long, time ago.

This pic was take about 5 years back...note the excitement on my 1 1/2 year old's face 🙂

It is at a place called the Fairy Tale Forest. It is on Oak Ridge Road just off Route 23 in Oak Ridge, NJ.

I was just thinking the exact same thing, and mushrooms were the only way to enjoy Fairy Tale Forest.
