Mountain bike trails in Delaware?

Heading to Massey Landing DE tomorrow. Anyone know of any bike trails relatively close to that area?

Lower, slower DE is basically a mtb wasteland. Trails at Cape Henlopen, but never rode there. Also trails at Trap Pond S.P., but pretty lame and better for hiking.

I can bring the road bike. I need to put in some miles for a trip in October.

This is the 6th time I’ve gotten a Biden reference when I mentioned where I was vacationing.

Maybe I can give him my old SPDs and some pointers on how to ride clipless.

My take on that fall is for someone his age to fall like that and not end up in the hospital with a broken hip is impressive.

Yeah... technically in DE, but feels more like MD/PA.

Cape Henlopen is fun to cruise with the family, but I wouldn't go there expecting a great mtb ride. I haven't found anything there worthy of a true mtb and would probably just ride a road bike.

Agreed on all here, road/gravel bike or just enjoy the trip bike-less. Riding from your spot to Cape Henlopen would be doable, but rt 24 isn't really fun. Cape Henlopen is not a typical MTB ride - little tidbits of ST and some nice scenic stuff through the marshes is about all you'll get. Rehobeth to OC MD can be a fun road ride, but it's across the bay from you and not very realistic. Gallon of White Claw it is?

OK. The state is so small I didn't know there's a place in DE that can be 2 hrs from anywhere else in DE.
