There are people I work with who are directly involved with Mt Olive HS. They recently had a competition to hurl pumpkins and took first place:

Now they stand to get some grants if they are voted for.

From my co-worker:

The Mount Olive high school Robotics Team (MORT) is a nominee in The Clorox Company’s Power a Bright Future grant program. If you could take the time to vote for our program we could win a grant ($50,000 grand prize and four $25,000 grants are being awarded) that will greatly help our costs to run this amazing robotics program. As of this morning, we are in 38th place out of more than 1,600 nominees!

Voting takes place from now through Dec. 9, 2011, you can vote twice a day (every day!) either online or by texting. Visit www.PowerABrightFuture.com for official rules.

I hope you’ll take a minute to vote for our program. Here’s how:

1. Vote online
· Log on to http://www.powerabrightfuture.com/gallery/detail/?nid=1199

2. Text to vote**
· To vote for MORT text clorox1919 to 44144

Thank you for your continued interest and support of our robotics team! please let me know if you have any questions about the team.
