Motos in Allaire

Frank

Wookie
It has been brought to my attention that there have been sightings of more than one motorcycle illegally riding through the trails at Allaire. While this totally sucks and the hard work of our volunteers are being damaged, engaging these idiots is just as bad....I know, I've made that error in judgement myself. If you happen across one of these morons, please call the Park Police at 877-927-6337, or the Park Office at 732-938-2164 and avoid confrontation at all costs please, one wrong shouldn't be countered with another. 😡

As Matt said to me.. I feel your pain.

1-877-WARN-DEP

Same number as above, if it helps anybody remember it.

If I have an opportunity to talk to moto guys I usually try to keep it cool and ask them where they came into the park. If they happen to have a license plate on the bike get the plate number.

I miss my moto's, but the pedals have made me much healthier.

And you thought cross bikes were the problem. 😀
They must be from Florida and like the sandy tracks.

Moto

Wasnt me.. at least not this time... I did wander into Allaire one time like 12yrs ago... I was truly lost and just riding around

Just an update, I raced a motorcycle between the camping ground and hospital road yesterday. I got close to him on a climb and noticed he had a plate! :getsome: Anyway, I caught him just as he got on the road, a blue and white enduro with a plate of 6926L. The DEP and Park police have both been notified. As the trails get covered with spring foliage growth, and with the amount of people using the park wearing headphones, it is a matter of time before one of the motos hits someone (besides tearing the heck out of the trails!).

i saw a motorcycle in the parking lot when i was there yesterday around 4, but not on any trails. i also saw some not so nice writing on the wooden signs where paper flyers have been ripped off, on the board & the one clivus.

good job on getting the plate and notifying the proper people this is the route we need to take with this.

Thanks for the kudos, it was my pleasure. I too saw the writing, let's make sure we keep it civil, responding will only make things worse. The best thing we can do as cyclists is be proper stewards by being peaceful, kind, and giving back to the park and it's users.

I thank you all for doing so already!😉

Motos...

So you're saying we shouldn't send the wookie in to rip their limbs off and hang each extremity at each entrance to the park? Hey if it works for England it should work for us... J/k 😉
