Mob Wars on Facebook...

Anyone playing Mob Wars on Facebook? Let's hear your stats. Let's discuss strategy. What are you working towards in Mob Wars?

For those not familiar with Mob Wars:
Mob Wars, which is a game that lets players act as criminals and rise through the mob ranks by committing crimes, fighting other players, etc., brings in a lot of money. Players use the money earned to buy weapons and other virtual goods used in the game.

Me?
A couple co-workers sent me an invite on FB in early December. I didn't pay much attention to it at first. I found it intriguing and occasionally did some Jobs. In the last week, I've gone a bit overboard and am getting into the game.

Current Stats:
Mob Type = Insomniac
Level = 20
Mob Members = 110
Income = $50,000
Max Energy = 26
Max Health = 170
Max Stamina = 6

I'm currently doing jobs and fights to strengthen my Mob and buy properties.

Best tips found:
1. Use MobWarsForum to add mob members. Basically, you add random people as FB Friends, add them to your Mob and then remove them as FB friend. It is cheap and relatively easy. There are some hot chicks playing MobWars.
2. As the mob size increases, equip each member with an Assault Rifle, vest, and Crown Vic. This will give them maximum strength while minimizing upkeep. You will be able to win fights against smaller mobs that are much better equipped.
3. Fight Tycoons. Their income increases faster than the other mob types. They are more likely to have cash.

Mob Wars is the only App I've found to be even mildly entertaining. I believe I took a couple Movie quizes and such. Almost everything else is ignored.

My co-workers actually discussed it with me so I gave it a try. Otherwise, I would have just hit ignore again.

My experience with FaceBook has been so-so. Other than a random conversation piece it has been just there. My old high school friends believe that I am a professional bike racer and action movie producer.

I just made level 17. I have a mere $5000 income. I went through a bunch of cycles screwing things up with no real direction. Finally starting to get traction but there's a lot of waiting around for money to be generated, or energy to come back so I can do more jobs.

10 attack
7 defense
7 mobsters (only friends, no mobster trolling yet)
41 energy
100 health
4 stamina

I find Facebook a little entertaining. I joined because I know someone who works there. He joined my mob. It also allows me to keep in touch with people I wouldn't normally because of random status comments.

Another hint, the more property you own, the higher the bounty is on your head when someone "hitlists" you.

Acquire Tactical Shotguns, as they are critical to some high paying jobs as you move up levels.

My current cost per new member is $2,320,000. This includes:
1 Mini Gun (for use with Turret Armed Hummer)
1 Chey Tac
1 Tactical Body Armor
1 Turret Armed Hummer

I think ultimately I will get bored of it the same way I got bored of Sims - there's no real end of the road. It just goes on forever.

Careful. This is what I was doing. Doing jobs really bumps up your experience quickly. You are leveling up but staying relatively weak. Once you increase your income, you are going to get pounded by bigger mobs.
Mob Trolling has made all the difference for me. The big mob allows you to overcome smaller mobs that are well equipped. My Mob of 100 with Assault Rifles, vests and Crown Vics will beat a mob of 20 members that has armored cars and grenade launchers.

Those armored vehicles and big weapons take away from your income. I'm spending nearly nothing in upkeep for my weapons. I use that cash won in fights to buy properties and better equip my mob. I'm now generating income without the overhead.

I think I'm currently in a good position. My mob is big. My fight win/loss ratio is staggeringly good. I don't own any big vehicles or guns. I don't have much property yet. Basically, you don't have much to gain by fighting me and my fight history says your chances are not good.

My criteria for picking a fight:
Tycoon
Small mob(<20 members)
High fight loss to win ratio
Casino or other high value property.

Yeah...I had a feeling you were on an entirely different level.

My current cost to equip a mob member is $20. I'm trying to minimize my upkeep numbers and generate cash through fights, property, and jobs. (in that order)

I did get put on the hitlist last night for the first time. Interesting. I guess I pissed that guy off when I beat him 4 times, took $280,000, and put him in the hospital.:rofl:

It's embarrassing, really .
I troll the fight list and usually take 2 shots per mob, so as to not piss anyone off too much. I tend to chain hit and go after smaller mobs when I need to Level Up. I almost feel bad when I attack a smaller mob, and kill the guy with one shot. I must get punched in the face about 20 times per day.

Mob Trolling - you mean picking off mobs and getting money? I think the most I've ever made was $54.

I spent a lot of levelling up points increasing my energy, so now I'm imbalanced with low fight stats. My invites for the day ar used up. I'll try adding members tomorrow. But then my mob will be weaker since I can't afford equipment for all of them.

Yep, picking off mobs. I'm not sure of the levels, but you get to a point where you can get 70K per hit, and then 100, based on how much cash they have laying around.

I have no strategy for level up, but try to keep track so I don't get imbalanced. I baselined each category so they end in the same digit, and will increase Stamina/Health in one round, and then Attack/Defense/Energy the next.

Remember that Healing gets more expensive and hospital comes at a higher number as you level up. I think I go once my health hits 110

Wow Ben, good advice. I just armed my mob of 7 as you suggested and took out some guy twice for $70k each time.

My current cost to equip a mob member is $20.

How is that possible with an assault rifle, vest, and crown vic?

I wrote that wrong. My Upkeep for each mob member is $20. I'm trying to equip my mob as cheaply as possible. Using weapons without upkeep allows me to keep more of my income. The Crown Vic has an upkeep of only $20/month.

If I chose to use Armored cars and grenade launchers, I'd have to pay $5,000+ in upkeep. In short, I only buy more expensive stuff when it is required for a job.

Currently, each member of my mob has the most powerful weapon that does not require upkeep. Each one also has a vest. I believe I have about 60 Vics and 5 other vehicles (for jobs).

After scoring big in a fight, I spend on property first. Any change left over goes to the mob's equipment.

I haven't actually killed anyone yet. I think I've fought a mob 4 times in a row a couple times. I ended up in the hospital with him. But I was $280,000 richer. ;)

I was put on the hitlist and killed last night for the first time. I think I had that coming.
