i'm rocking 2.3" tires on my 25mm I think it's a DT E1900 Spline - I'm wondering if I can run a wider tire on this rim, or if 2.3 is a recommended max width...

I think he means High Roller?so DHR2 > DHF?

yeah, that makes perfect sense, but I'm "just" trail riding which is why i thought they were overkill. it seems like they are pretty much comparable in terms of rolling resistance to teh High Roller ii though, model name notwithstanding.I have DHF, DHR on my Mountain Creek rig so that's what I voted for. I haven't really tried anything else so I can't say what I have are any better or worse but I don't have any issues with them so if it ain't broke.....
On my trail rig (29er HT) I got WTB Vigilante 2.5 up front and WTB Ranger 2.4 in the rear. That combo works great so far.yeah, that makes perfect sense, but I'm "just" trail riding which is why i thought they were overkill. it seems like they are pretty much comparable in terms of rolling resistance to teh High Roller ii though, model name notwithstanding.
I'll probably throw the DHF back on the front of the bike, maybe leave the HRii rear for the time being and try out that combo. perhaps switch to something a bit faster in the rear some other time, either when it starts to wear or when i feel like getting rid of money
