Meniscus tear

I went on my first post-op bike ride today! OK, it was just around my neighborhood on flat roads using the easiest gears on my road bike, but I was pedaling dammit!:D

5 days since my surgery, I guess I'm pretty happy with the progress. I just need to keep telling myself not to push too hard so I don't set myself back.

Thanks for all the thoughts, comments, encouragement, videos, etc. Much appreciated.

Hey Jeff,

The question all depends on what type of riding you want to do. You can ride road by the end of the week, the only hard part is getting out of the pedals. Your biggest hurdle with the meniscus is your apprehension of falling, or the quick jolt of pain that can run through the nerves.

I believe I was back on the mountain bike in about a week to ten days....definately on the road in 3 days.

Good luck, quick recovery.
