max grip tires

Ya'll riding in north jersey, what's your max grip 2.1 tire that you run this time of year? I need to replace the rear tire and am looking for max grip versus something more xc. Hey, I gotta blame it on something - may as well be the tire. 😀
 
I would suggest running a wider tire. This will give you a bigger contact area with the ground thus increasing your traction. If you are really happy with the tires you are running currently, see if they make a larger version.
 
i agree with fred on this. also, answers will vary widely depending on your wheel size.
