Lewis Morris Conditions???

I am just curious about LM and if it has recovered from last week's big storm. Has anyone ridden there this past weekend. I figured with about a week of nice dry weather it has improved. I have stayed away figuring it may take a couple of weeks. Anyone know if the trails are ok to ride??? Thanks!

4.5.10 conditions

Rode the Marty's race loop this evening. Yellow trail just after the picnic kiosk/bridge is stil mucky. And the sign near the swithbacks on yellow is still up (mud to the back parking lot). But rest of loop is overall in good shape.

heading to LM soon. should be there about 12:30. i'll heed all signs, handmade or not. anyone wants to join, look for the silver GTi.

Looking pretty good out there on yellow despite the occasional muddy rutted spots. I avoided the yellow singletrack that runs parallel to the fire road to the south lot and then linked back up with yellow at the lot, back up to the lake. Then did the out and back on the north side of mendham road that goes to whitehead road. All dry until the very end.

Side note: Man, you'd think all the road riding I've been doing in the past 2 weeks would have helped...just goes to show how different xc riding and climbing is to the road. 7.5 miles and I was beat! 😛uke:

Am hooking up with some friends Saturday at LM and would love to do the race loop but I don't know it. I've never ridden LM. Do you have a GPS map or a link that shows this loop? THANKS.

Rode yellow and green today. Yellow is 95% dry and green was 99% dry. All good too go. Hopefully not a ton of rain in the t-storms tonight.

Conditions as of 4/11

Rode all sections. All is good except that pesky area of yellow along the fire road from red to the back parking lot. There are still a few spots with mud and standing water. The cardboard sign (see above post) is still there.

However, yellow from the back lot to the lake was completely dry.

Took a new rider out there today (newer than me!). I'm pretty sure I hit every trail there and it's all dusty and fast.

Has anyone been on the trails since the snow?

My friend rode there yesterday and said there was too much snow to get a good ride. It's going to be a real mess when the snow melts this weekend with the high temps, so probably best to stay away.

Passable with Frozen snow and mud. Watch for Frozen Snow and mud wheel grooves. Some parts it was better to walk the bike. Over all just be careful, I'm sure if the weather stays warm it will get better. I would say the trails are 75 % rideable. Based on skill level.
😎

yellow trail conditions

Thinking on going tomorrow 1/6/11 mid day have not been out since snow storm.
How much snow is still on path if any?
How much ice?

Are there any hunters up there I need to keep an eye out for
