Lewis Morris Challenge Info from Marty's

Damn, 6th place again!

I believe bib 828 that came right after me is/was Marc Lewis.
 
Does anyone know who kicked everyones butt in sport? I think he was #324 (the guy in the Colvita kit). I'm not upset, just wondering if I got beat by someone important.
 
Neato! My first sport podium and I didn't even get to stand on it. Oh well. At least I now know. Congrats to Gerilynn and Kirt too!!

Thanks for being so understanding of everyones frustration and your effort of rectifying such a terrible situation. Of course none of this was intentional nor planned. You took a lot of crap and remained extremely professional throughout it all. I just wanted to applaud your efforts for working so hard for all of us.

There are a few issues with his reponse there that are wacky but what is done is done. I wonder who is scoring tomorrow's race.
After all that, I do also want to thank Geoff for sticking with it as well. To add insult to injury I apparantly got 10th after I was guestimating I was somewhere around 5th at the end of the race. I am not claiming the results are wrong! Just a little disappointed.
Let's all have some fun tomorrow!

Rob - stick to it. It was my experience in the last 2 LMC races that this brings out the biggest roadie draw. You're in a prime roadie-heavy age class too. I looked at your overall standings on the h2h site and I think you'll be right there in the top 5 at the end of the year for sure.
 
Norm is correct that this race brings out the roadie crew. A heavy contingent of them were in the sport race. I wouldn't be disappointed coming in 10th with a bunch of Cat 2 roadies in the race.
 
Thanks for the positive reinforcement. This is actually my first year back racing after a 12 year layoff and was off the bike completely for most of it. When I decided to do this season I hoped for somewhere in the middle of the pack somewhere, of course now that I see I can be competitive again I raised my bar, but I have to keep it in check. I will say that it is refreshing to experience how much more supportive the community is now as compared to a decade ago. I've noticed that even during the actual races there is a much better vibe than I remember. It is also great to have a site like this.

I know 3 of these guys were unnamed in the results. The 3rd guy in that list I'm not sure of because I can't see his plate number. But I think he reads the site because he commented to Fred and I about being the MTBNJ guys before the race.

You got beat by Ryan Bodge, one of my co-workers, he is a retarded fast CAT1 road racer but hasn't raced mountain bikes since his days as a junior. Lucky for you guys, I don't believe he's doing anymore XC races this year:D

I'm torn on how to feel about a cat 1 racer signing up for sport. Without question that guy is sandbagging above and beyond what the word sandbagging means. But should I care? Probably not. It's just a shame that some guy who came in 4th got ripped of a medal because this guy doesn't want to race the competition at his level.

Sorry to waste your time R to the F, but it turns out that Paul was in the older group, and accounted for. I couldn't see his plate number so I guessed based on the order of the pics on Nate's site.

Norm, I think just to prove a point you should enter a Cat1 road race. What point it will prove Im not sure, I just think you should do it.

I was watching the sport race with BakinBen, and everytime that dude went by, it seemed like an eternity for the #2 rider to come by.
