I'm getting ready to install the Race Face PF30 BB. The shells are aluminum and of course the frame is also. The BB instructions say to use grease, but I see mixed things on the interwebs. So should I use grease, anti-sieze grease, regular Loctite or bearing retaining Locktite? @jimvreeland ?

Either way, it'll creak

Real talk though, I use that thick green Phil Wood grease in most BBs.

Wait... you did give me most of the parts to build this for free though. Nevermind.

Using my best engineering judgement I went with retaining Locktite. Of course you know that means I'll be pulling it out in a few days.?

Never creaked for me.

i cant speak for anyone else, but it wasnt bad that id idnt want to keep it, i just didnt ride it enough and when i bought the stache the overlap was just too much, id rather have something that im using more.

It was originally Pampas bike......I only rode it a few times before I took the wheels off it....the wheels are why I bought it....those wheels are on Patricks bike now
