Lasik

Not recently. 2004. At the time I sought out the newest procedure, no blade lasik, which was only around about a year or so. I'm sure it's now the standard.

I went with Della Russo in Bergenfield because he was one of the best at the time and was giving discounts to PBA members. I have two friends that have gone to Dr. Salz in Bridgewater/Somerville and were also happy with the results.

I was 20/20 the day after the procedure. I did have some halos for a few months while driving at night but nothing severe. I was VERY sensitive to sunlight for many months after as well.

I'm still 20/20 in one eye and 20/25 in the other. Reading glasses are still 3-5 years away as per my doc (I'm 43).

my wife also went to Salz and had good results. The same issues and side effects as Carson.
Go get a consult with a reputable doc first to see if you can. My cornea is too thin so no go for me, however with the latest RK, I hear its possible, but I'm on the fringe. Hate glasses and contacts, esp. during winter sports. But not taking a chance if a good doc recommends not to.

I'd like to do it some day so I can wear regular cycling glasses and snow goggles without getting expensive, prescription ones made...

I've been thinking about the lazer myself. Interested to here experiences. I really can't complain about my contacts, but I still don't like having to rely on them. And my vision stinks without them.

I used Dr. Wong in Princeton. 15 years ago. I used to be extremely nearsighted and waking up the day after lasik with 20/20 was like a miracle. My vision is diminished a bit over time but I have zero regrets. I'm probably still 20/30 today.

thanks
We got a recommendation from eye doctor. We will also look into ones here.

Lasik is for my wife. I'll let her test it out first. Glasses don't bother me and I only wear contacts once a week. One day I'll get lasik so I don't have to rock this anymore

My wife is a good for Lasik so I'm calling around for prices. Kinda crazy for 15 min of work! Pushing my kid to be Lasik surgeon.

Groupon Lasik, Woodbridge Lasik Vision Institute? I don't really find bad revieww....

Dr. Wong did my Lasik on October 6 of this year. It's nice having normal vision without glasses. Light sensitivity is still an issue but nothing that sun glasses can't fix. At night I have the halo in my left eye but my right eye is pretty near perfect. Sometimes at work with all the lights I'll see prism colors kind of streaking off the lights but its very faint and doesn't bother me at all.

I had LASIK done in 2011 by Dr. Stetson at Diamond Vision in Manhattan. I dealt with Dr. Conti in Bridgewater for the follow-up visits. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I went from having a prescription of -6.50 (~20/600) in each eye to 20/20. I never had sunlight sensitivity but did have the halos post op. That has either improved dramatically or my brain has learned to ignore them.
