they are enabled in the wiki if that helps. It's probably where you want to be putting this stuff anyway
 
Nope....This is what I got when I tried to upload to the wiki

".kml" is not a permitted file type. Permitted file types are png, gif, jpg, jpeg, pdf, ppt.
 
It's not as easy as allowing a certain filetype. It flags the kml as an executable script and doesn't let you upload. I could turn that off but then we open ourselves up to hacks. Im trying to figure out how to set the mime type to flag it properly but not having any luck.
 
I figured it wouldn't be as easy as flipping a switch, nothing ever is. If you can get it, cool...if not then I'll see what else I can figure out
 
Isn't a kml file just a text/xml file? So worst case, you just rename it to filename.txt to post it, and the person who downloads it renames it back to filename.kml?
 
Tried the zip, but the particular file is still too large. And the rename to txt thing can work as a last resort, but I prefer cleaner methods when possible. Even still, the kml I'm trying to share is 445kb which exceeds the cap
 
If it's not going to be a very common process, I can upload for you.

Or I could just give you the keys to the castle and let you do it yourself. I know where you live, so I could hunt you down and do something naughty if you made a mess of things.
 
It's for this so the uploads will probably ebb and flow. I'll take they keys but don't get mad if someone shits in the fridge. It gets a ton of laughs every time.
