I thought there was a thread with pics of mtbnj riders' kids but couldn't find one. Anyway here some pics/vids I took of a recent trip to VT with the family:

Sean, just turned 11, step-up line. Took him a bit, but he finally was nosing in and pumping tranny a bit. If he rode his bike as much as his surfboard he might be half decent 🙂

i just finally got a chance to check out those vids - dude that is awesome! 11 y/o catching air and your 4 year really moved!

i can't wait to get my boy riding... he's got a couple more years to go tho.

great stuff.

Thanks Clark - That park they have in Stowe, while needing a lot of TLC right now, is a really great thing for the kids (and adults 😀).

Sean was excited which was great to see - I told him he needs to bring the jumps to the skis this winter - same movement on both. I tried getting him on some singletrack as Trapp Lodge just put in some nice mid level trail and they have all the bike rentals for kids too. But he wanted to ride jumps instead.

Cooper is with older kids all the time so he doesn't know any different. He might be the rider of the family. I see him get out of some hairball situations already.

The bikes for kids now are great and I think it will get even better. Get him on a 12" in a couple years and pick up one of those Razor scooters. For all my kids the Scooter helped in getting their balance before taking off the training wheels.

Awesome stuff man.

I started taking my son (3.5) to the jumps with the balance bike to see if he could do the rollers and he isnt quite there yet. As of late he is really getting a hold of the balance bike and can go for a solid 20' before putting a foot done. Can't wait 'til he is ripping the trailz.
