Jungle Habitat is back in H2H in 2022

from the website...."...Race will double as a Fundraiser with $5 from each entry being split between NICA, JORBA & Volunteer Ambulance...."

JORBA is in no way affiliated with this event.

well it wasn't me, that leaves only 1 other person....

BTW - the damn dam broke at way way, and the pump on pump house couldn't keep up with the water water.

you seem upset

So in case you didn’t fully follow, the JORBA rep responsible for the majority of the trails there made his case to the land manager to postpone.

The unsolicited donation to JORBA from the promoter is of course appreciated, but shouldn’t be interpreted as an endorsement.

I just walked the course and I don't have the words to describe how bad it is.
Trails that we all we all build and maintained for 16 years are completely destroyed! unbelievable. Anyone who thinks " a little TM" and some tamping and raking will fix this is completely delusional! All the warning signs were there, there's no excuses or justification
for running a race in those conditions.
The promoter will pull down the arrows, put the cash in his pocket and go home leaving all us with this mess.
Any donation to JORBA I assume is just to relieve him of some guilt.
All involved should be ashamed for what they did here

Thank you for saying this about it taking a lot more work than one TM to fix the damage.

4 inch of rain 2 days before, 1/2 inch plus the night before and rain forecasted during the race, the race should have been postponed. If that was not possible, then canceled. No excuses.

Agreed.

The lack of oversight by both the H2H series and the park itself are also to blame here. This is one reason why you have organizations at all. While the race promoter bears responsibility, both the park & series need to take some of the blame.

The reason you have a system is to work together to make the best choices. That was not the case here whatsoever.

And by park I believe this is Ringwood State Park?

@V-Dub will you be planning some TM soon, maybe during the weekend(s) to maximize attendance? Hopefully all parties responsible for this disaster will chip in to fix the damage…
