Team MTBNJ Halter's
great day, even with the weather. the trails, at least in deer park, were in really good shape. i was shocked.

rain, shine, mist, fog...it was all good. kudos to the good folks at JORBA for putting together a great event despite the "alamuchy curse".

i'm already looking forward to next year.

had a great time. didnt do a whole ton of riding but did get out there for a while. i have mud inside of my ears. was great meeting a lot of people from here and putting names to faces.

Man, wotta a cool day...great talking to so many people from here (attaching faces to names & screenames) and hanging out. 🙂 And The Human Vice put on quite a show! :popcorn:New Jersey has a terrific, tightly-knit mountain biking community that I'm proud to be part of...😉

Had a blast today and want to throw out a HUGE THANKS to JORBA and everyone that worked so hard to make this event happen, and keep it happening despite some tough conditions from time to time today! As everybody else has said it was really cool to put names with faces & meet some people I have been talking with on here for years.
As a rider first, and new business owner second I can not even put into words how awesome the vibe we got from everyone today was! Sincere thanks to everybody...JORBA, MTBNJ, and everyone who is giving our stuff a chance! Today was something that I was really proud to be a part of.

I had an absolutely awesome time today. The best part of my day was demoing the $8,800 2010 S-Works Epic Carbon for 2.5 hours in Deer Park. I also demoed a Giant and a Gary Fisher 29’r but after riding the Epic they felt like tanks. Kudos to Jorba and all of their sponsors for a great day.

Jorbafest was once again awesome. A big thanks to everyone that made this day possible. A rainy summer isn't going to keep us from having fun. I'm glad I got to see the Strongman, I missed his show last year. Too bad he couldn't pull the Marty's bus out of the mud for us 😉 The amount of stuff in the raffle was amazing - the sponsors rock!!! I can't wait for next year's Jorbafest.

Dammit, I fully typed this out once and screwed up so now I have to start over 😛

all of my pictures are here:

All of these pictures are free.
If you honestly would have paid for your picture or your kid's picture, please take that money and donate it to JORBA. I really appreciate what they do, so if you appreciate my pictures pass it along to them for me. Thanks

Pat the human vice was awesome, his show rocked and he's a cool local dude who happens to ride the world's best bike, a 26" epic 😀
We gotta get a Mahlon tour going, he knows the place well and rides with Jeff

Who's kids are these? They embarrassed the adults on the skinnies!

Adam reached the end of the skinnies, impressive! So did his competition but I don't know his name.

I had a great time, finally met a bunch of people. I totally forgot to leave out my new NoTights.com business cards. DOH! I left a book of cool shots out there though.

I feel jipped that I didn't win anything at the raffle, I had 20 damn tickets! I really wanted some ass lube they were giving away 🙂
Sean hooked me up with some chain lube and degreaser since he won 2 sets.
Wish the weather would have cooperated some more, but I still had a good time.

Had a blast. Did two rides despite the fact that nobody signed up for the morning ride I was supposed to sweep. I also won 3 items from the raffle and purchased a 29er.

Some quick notes from today

I am bummed I didn't get to meet HumanVise! I wanted to, but got lost out on the trails and made it back after most things were over.

Luke, great photos once again!! That flash that I thought someone lost on the grass made for some awesome shots!!

I must admit that I was quite pessimistic about today, not really knowing what to expect with the trails, with the rain ruining the day, etc. It turned out to be a really fun day, so thanks to everyone who helped to make it happen!

Above all, Frank, I hope you feel better!!!

I rode a demo 29er and wasn't too sold at the beginning, but it grew on me! Too bad my bike fund is running a bit low 🙁 What did you end up buying?

I had so much fun that I didn't want the day to end. The kids and I went out for dinner on the way home and we are just getting in now. I'm beat!!! :drooling:

luke those pictures are so clear it looks like they were photochopped but as
I was there and I know they were not good stuff dude, we had a blast today

Had a blast!

It has been exactly 1 year since I got back on my bike. Last year I had my a$$ handed to me on the Intermediate Short Deer Park ride. This year I felt great, to the point that I ended up sweeping the Intermediate Long Stephens Park ride 30 minutes after we got back.

I bonked at about 3/4 of the way through second ride, took a shot block and a gu and was back on!

It has been a great year, met a great group of people, greatly improved my health, and feel better than ever.

Can't wait until next year! Hopefully sun will be shining😀
