I just like Shimano brakes because it takes 5 minutes to do a quick bleed.
Yeah, I had those. Replaced with Shimano.

100% on the bleeding. So much easier and better compared to getting DOT all over your hands and bike.

Ah. I can’t be sure 100% sure but I bought the frame from an actual Bike store in Wisconsin that is also a Salsa official dealer. Anybody makes mistakes (and apparently I did too failing to realize the issue with the bb when I first inspected the frame.

Did they bleed your brakes using hoses from the Dollar Store?

Isn’t this the model of the future?

More than likely for the masses. I expect brick and mortar shops to go deeper into the boutique market. And I'll always have a job because the internet can't fix your bike the night before a race. Luckily, no one realizes they own a bike until the night before a race. Hell, a shop could survive just selling tires to people the week before the 5 Boro Bike Tour.
