Not enough chance of getting capsized by a whale in a river.
Yeah. As someone who’s spent quite a bit of time on a small boat out and about Brooklyn, Long Island, Queens, Manhattan and S.I., I can’t assure you; depending on time of day….. I guarantee you capsize where the East River meets the Hudson.

* and it won’t be a whale that does it. Though, some of the sewage might appear to be one 😱

I try to stay out of that area as much as possible. I've only been in there during a Staten Island Circ and a couple trips to the Statue. Going by the Ferrys is sorta suicidal. The new boat is only 32lbs so next time I go around the island I can get out and just walk on land around the Ferrys and get back in at the park.

Frenchtown 200k

It sure was windy yesterday!! I doubled up my gym sessions on Thursday so my legs were basically useless Saturday 😂

Got popped from the front group of 7 about 20 miles in and then it was just me, some stiff headwinds, and a bunch of climbing.

I was hoping at some point the wind would turn in my favor but it wasn’t until pretty close to the end that it felt less headwindy.

I guess the headwind didn’t care that I was riding a bike with a 1 piece front end and brake hoses through the headset 😂

T-Town Tuesday. Had to renew my membership because the track is actually open now. System is a lot better as there’s just a QR Code at the Entrance to check in instead of registering on the site beforehand. Bad news is the Membership is over $300 this season so you have to spend some time there to make it count…

I waxed this chain to learn how to do it and realistically it’s the only bike I own where the gain would be noticeable. If there’s any gain.

And just because this bike is so fucking cool, bonus pics.

Rusty2 Commute.

Headwind and climby on the way in. Dropped the bars and cut the fork when I got in because they can definitely get slammed.

After riding the pink bike Tuesday, this thing feels like it has suspension 😂

(It doesn’t, it’s actually knock your fillings out stiff because, track bike)

Washington Rock on the way home because I don’t feel like doing my gym work today.

Sunday rode to Rutgers to cheer on some homies racing the Livingston Crit. It’s right in my hood so I can be social without much effort.

I need to gather my poop and come up with a game plan for Crush the Commonwealth. I haven’t booked anything except the train ride back from Pittsburgh. Hotels in Philly are $300 and Pittsburgh is $400 so…I’m gonna take a train in Friday Morning and miss the official start. Luckily there’s a CTC RUSA Perm so I’ll be doing that instead starting about 2 hours late. More than likely bivy along the route because I need to buy track bike stuff so saving like $800-$900 on Hotels will help with that. Plus it’s like 65 degrees and there’s a cool tunnel to sleep in 😂
