I can see this backfiring on climbs as your cadence slows when in the easier gear thus u slow. With a round ring you would consistently mash?

consider pedaling circles while seated - might be more mashing when standing ?????

what do you think?

i'm thinking about ratcheting on the tough stuff - that would put less mech advantage where i might need it. on the other hand, could just shift the rear
to get what i want. not sure it makes sense on SS ???

Since I was thinking of dropping a couple teeth, I may try an oval on my fat bike this Winter.
