I wore these pads maybe 6 times before I decided to go with a pair of Dakine knee pad without a shin guard. After every ride I sprayed them with disinfectant and only got muddy once at MCBP last year. I'm 5'10 160 if that helps. Great for DH, pretty slim/breathable pads, fits under jeans if you are into that, DJ's know what I'm talking about. Available in Sparta- evenings and Mills or hilltop - west caldwell during the day
