my electrician friend just quoted me around $600 to set up a plug to alternately feed the whole panel, aka backfeed , minus the central AC which requires a massive generator.
Id rather pay that money to a professional for basically the same thing. I would not advise messing with your electric meter not sure if that is even legal.?

You pay for simplicity. If you want cheap do like I described up above. Cost = 220V Breaker and some sheet metal or 3D printed safety plate. 100% legal

Well, crews are gone, still non power, second generator won’t stay on, first generator tired af ...thank God the neighbor gave us a line to keep the fridge alive. Meh.
