For AC, use the blankets on the wall trick, AND block the door vent too. Put the Snuggie under the door and all that stuff. Should help.

Just remember, the vent needs to be unblocked for heat.

Hmm. How about getting one of those room dividing panels to put it in front of the door. Maybe reinforce the panels with some sound absorbing / deadening material.
