How many bikes are necessary?

09 Stumperjumper FSR expert 29er

So far I only have SS 29r hardtail and a dual suspension 26r (that I'm selling here). I want to get another 29r hardtail geared bike for race day and a road bike for alternate training. I just need to figure out how I will manage to hide it in garage to my better half so she will not kill me.

- 29er HT Race Bike - Own
- 29er FS Race Bike - Want
- 29er SS Training bike - own a 26er, 29er coming this season.
- 26er 6" bike, my 4 1/2" Cannondale sorta does the job for now.
- Cross bike - coming this season
- Road Bike - Own

I am still thinking about swapping the geared ht for a f/s but am kinda on the fence. I am also thinking about swapping the roadie parts over to a cross frame, then getting a ss road bike to noodle around on.
