Hitch Lock

Has anyone had their bike rack stolen off your car?
I am not talking about in the inner cities but at the trail lots and whatnot.
Just wondering if I need to have a lock on the hitch.... which btw looks pretty flimsy on picture.

1ups on my truck and wife's car, always locked to the vehicle. Mine is a chain and padlock from HD, hers has the padlock hole to block bolt access.

The Yakima rack comes with a lock for the pin, I doubt it would resist a serious thief though. Side note, I use a locking pin with the hitch ball and the trailer as well, at least making a little harder for them if they want to take it from me!

Get a titanium nut and bolt it will over heat a blade if someone tries to cut the bolt off and titanium will harden quickly when they try to cut it
