Wow. For those who dont know (Max), harts is a pretty small park. I'm guessing they were on the rocky point side which is pretty small and has paved path trails intersecting multiple parts of the trail and it all loops back to a gigantic, impossible to miss lot. I'm guessing their main problem was not realizing that this lot is a high point of the trail system so they probably kept looping and trying to go downhill. This is why things like boy scouts exist.
