First race last week there was a dude in the expert class I ran with who had a singlespeeder and did quite well singlespeeding the course. The only spot that is rough for one is the first climb but other then that you should be okay. This is from a non-singlespeeder, just my observation.

course is fine ss, i ride 29er with a 32/20 gearing. how much does it cost to race?

$20 and that includes a one day license if you don't have one.

I'm sorry but it's $20 license or no license. Still a good deal though and we have prizes to hand out from our sponsors Ski Barn, Town Cycle and Hino's Ski and Cycle. We'll give those out as a raffle at the final race and party August 29th.

The deal is we'll be racing. We've moved the start time of the expert/pro class earlier (6:45 ish) to get it all in before dark.
