hi. my name is sarah and i live near new brunswick. i just purchased my very first mountain bike and i'm super excited about it.

i will be at jorba fest. i hope to make it out to your tues. night beginner rides soon. i'm also up for any other relatively local beginner-friendly rides (although my work schedule is occasionally a nuisance).

looking forward to seeing some of you around 🙂

welcome to the site. you're in my neck of the woods. there's a good group of fun trails not too far from new brunswick.

I think 3 is acceptable, when the surgeon requires a 2nd battery pack to insert your screws it becomes a problem. 😀

i had plenty of free time after work today, so i decided to take a drive to allaire, partly just to learn how to get somewhere new. when i arrived, there were approximately a million mtb people. feeling a little shy, i didn't really talk to anymore, but i just would like to mention (if they even happen to read this forum):

- to whoever helped me put my chain back on - THANKS!

- to whoever asked me for aspirin, - i was surprised that i forgot to have some along with me - hope you found some and feel better

Hey Sarah, welcome. I'm new here too (from Edison). These guys are great. I am dying to get to Allaire just haven't really had the time so I have been riding 6mile from rt 27 in Franklin/No. Brunswick right off of Cozzens La from Rt 1. If you (or anyone else) want to meet up and ride it let me know. I usually ride alone but that's because I really don't know anyone yet.

Curious, how long did it take you to get to Allaire and what were your thoughts?

hi soulchild -

my drive to allaire took about 50 min. (slightly longer on the way there due to traffic). i had a lot of fun and enjoyed the park, although i believe my lack of biking experience disqualifies the general usefulness of any opinion i may have.

i was thinking about checking out 6 mile tonight & thursday after work. today i'm probably going to get there around 5:45/6:00pm because i have a dr. appt. immediately after work, but thursday i'm aiming for about 4:45pm. let me know if you, or anyone else, will be around either of those time and would like some company. thanks.

Welcome Aboard The Tuesday night rides at allaire are a great way to meet like minded people and generally have a good time...
We normally meet at 5:45 in the hospital road lot for a 6:00 roll out hope to see you there.

Welcome and just so you know, some of us are completely normal.🙂

being normal is so overrated...

I wasn't referring to myself as one of them.😀

Welcome!!

Hi Sarah...

Welcome to the insane asylum.... I mean the fun 🙂

Try and make to a Tuesday night Allaire ride before daylight savings ends the fun. Great group and a nice easy ride.

If you ever want to ride, let me know. Also check out the Female riders area, there is a great group of ladies who have been trying to put some rides together pretty regularly. Another great way to meet more people 🙂

See you on the trails!!

-Dana

hello

Hi, I'm a rider out of New Brunswick too. I see you found Allaire, which is an excellent place to ride. There are at least 5 great places within 45 min of here. Chimney Rock and 6 mile are about 20 min. If you guys don't mind company, I can ride 6 mile on Thursday at 4:45. The parking lot is by the soccer fields off of 27.

Welcome aboard!

I'll probably be out at 6mile thursday around that time. If you need help or anything I drive a gold Z71 Avalanche and ride a white Canondale 29er. Oh and i'm pretty friendly so don't worry I won't be mean. 😀

Where did you find your image? I saw a sign just like that in the Smokey Mountains of TN. I'm sure there are more than that one but I figured I'd ask. I photographed it as well.
