help from Porsche enthusiasts

Bought a 987.2 Cayman (2009) a couple of months back. No IMS/RMS with that generation engine, handles incredibly well, and is a much better looking car than the first gen.

Are Caymans just a hard top version of a boxter? Always thought so, but never researched to be sure.

What's the power like in the Cayman? At only 300hp it seems like it would be underwhelming. Wonder if it's like a BRZ where it's underpowered but still fun to drive.

I have the 2.9 which is 265hp. It's definitely not going to win any drag races but it sounds great, I can use all of the power on the street, and really the car is more about the handling and balance than straight line speed.

I'm no Porsche expert, but visually I'm not a fan of the 996 headlights. But I am a fan of these creations:

Good luck though...it's nice to be at that stage in life. Let us know what you end up with!

Ok, you didn't read the OP
Also I've driven right hand drives and for someone with dyslexia the shifting and other aspects are pretty f'd up. Basically, I drive like I've drank a fifth of scotch. There many of these in Japan and I've been trying to get my brother to get one since he's got a car park in Kyoto.
As in get one and ship it here? Because if so, I may have to become good friends. I'd love to grab a Skyline Hakosuka or R32 in a few years. My dream cars are weird.

Everything is better than a 928.
