Greetings All!
I was planning on heading up to Kingdom Trails this weekend, but with the record flooding, It doesn't look like it is going to happen. Do you have any recommendations for Saturday and Sunday of places that may not be devastated that would be good? We were also going to go to Quebec City for a couple days as well. Maybe get up there early and find a place up there? Please let me know your thoughts.

Woodstock - great town, and 3 trail systems: Mount Peg, Aqueduct, Saskadena 6

Killington - the bike park, Sherburne trails, Green Mountain, Rochester, Woodstock, Pine Hill all within 30 minutes

Stowe/Waterbury - Perry Hill, Cady Hill. Adams Camp

Poultney - both sides of Slate Valley, plus Pine Hill is about 30 away

I have ridden Cady Hill and that is awesome but for a day. Any thoughts about Vallée Bras-du-Nord? We will be in Quebec City, so we may stay a day in Stowe and then head up to QC early. Where is there to stay around there?

I was up in Quebec city a long time ago and my wife and I went to Mont Sainte Anne, we hiked, but there was a lot of mountain bike trails. You could stay in the city and drive there, it wasn't too far. The old part of Quebec is really cool, you will feel like you are in Europe. It a pretty good ride from Stowe to Quebec City, maybe 4 hours? We went to Stowe for a few days and them left the kids with our nephew and niece and went to Quebec. Definitely worth the trip!

Second everything about this, was in QC last week, was great.

I’ll throw in Lake Placid which I’m in now and has lots of great riding. In particular Craig Woods and Hardy Road. Mt Pisgah supposed to be really good too but haven’t made it over there. Lussi and Loggers can bike to straight from town.

Mt Van Hoevenberg is hosting UCI cross country World Cup end of September so guessing those trails must be kinda nice.

Yes. It’s good. There are 2 parts that are not at all connected.

It’s way out there. Not a lot of accommodations in that part of the world.

Cady Hill is the small system. Adams Camp is bigger and you can ride to it from town. Those 2 are easily a 3 hour day.

Plus Perry Hill is right there. And Bolton.

Can confirm. Adding the Flume trail system in Wilmington, NY too. Poorman's DH from the Whiteface summit road needs to be shuttled, but so worth it.

From what i've seen online, you'd be fine spending the whole time in and around QC. Maybe you're looking for a pitstop to shorten the drives though.

Thank you for your help! I was able to cancel my reservation at the Burke Mountain Lodge and I booked one night at the Field Guide Lodge in Stowe and one night at the Roquemont by Vallée Bras-du-Nord. After that, we are at the Frontenac. We definitely want to break up the driving so that will help. Next, I was wondering if you could share your strava routes from one of the places in Stowe (I am probably going to ride one day at each spot.), and one of the places by Vallée Bras-du-Nord. Thanks!

Here is Stowe:

Park at Cady Hill
Ride the town path to Adams Camp
Do Adams Camp CW
Ride the town path back to Cady Hill
Then go do Flo
Then do Flo again
In fact, do Flo until you can't do Flo No Mo
Then take Bear back to the car
Then eat lunch at Ranch Camp - the bike shop with food inside

The above way is an amazing way to spend a day.

Here is VBdN, the one close to where you'll be:

This was 8 years ago so I have no idea what it's like now.
