hey peps, I don't spend much time there, but those who do might be interested. I saw the editorial in the ledger today, and one guy is pretty worried. If he's onto something, I'm sure mountain biking there will change, and not for the better......

As Mahlon is my backyard, this is definitely concerning to me. This article tells the story of Sparta mountain which is referenced in the clip from OP..

There's no crystal ball to say whether Mahlon would suffer the same fate, but bringing a private interest into public land smells like disaster

i certainly hope not. based on the project regions identified in the stewardship assessment, it doesn't appear that they are but who knows...

I think that was just being used as an example of this sort of thing failing. The material in the Morris Parks link specifically stated Mahlon, and the maps don't seem to include the WMA. That said, I didn't ready any of it so who knows.....
