Hammerhead GPS

Anyone use one of these things yet? My mother-in-law has sent one on it's way to my house and I'm curious to see if it will really work. I'm strictly an MTB guy so I'm naturally skeptical a shark can find its way through the woods.

I'm also guessing it's only as good as the GPS to which it's paired.

I think this is fine if your route is cut and dry left or right turns. How is it going to handle more complex intersections? For $85 it might be worth the experiment.

IMO the missing link is something that will mirror your phone on a less expensive/more durable screen mounted to your bars.

I'm supposing that if you hit an intersection and choose the wrong one, it will start beeping at you that you're going the wrong way.

I don't think you will have too much luck finding good routes for mountain biking until they get this feature working:

I guess if they (have) hit a critical mass of users, then you would be able to choose from the routes based on their user base.
