For anyone who is racing Mooch, on the fence about racing Mooch, or wants to ride the race course, there will be two guided pre-ride this coming weekend April 9th and 10th.
April 9th will be led by Steph (@sarcaro) at 9:30am and is meant to be focused on women. More info on this ride can be found on the Female Riders Forum.
April 10th will be led my me (@2Julianas) and @sarcaro at 10am and will be intermediate/open to all. The plan is to ride the Cat 1/2 loop at an intermediate pace, stopping as needed on the first lap to scope out lines and the trickier sections, and an optional second lap at a faster pace stopping only at intersections so that nobody gets lost. This will not be a hammer ride, or at a Cat 1 pace, so if you want to do that you are welcome to ride ahead of the group and wait as needed.
Both rides will start at the Camp Wheeler lot. Please arrive early enough to get your gear/bike in order and sign the camp waiver (we are riding on private property). You have to sign the waiver in order to ride on the property (regardless if you end up alone or with the group). As with all mountain biking activities, please understand that there are risks involved! You are responsible for your own safety at all times. The course is not completely done and or free of all potential hazards.
Please reply here if you are planning to join these pre-rides so we know to look/wait for you in the lot! My cell is 917-885-6860 if you need to reach me that morning to cancel or tell me you are running late. For my own personal sanity, if it looks like the pre-ride is getting too large I will enlist more team members so we can break into more manageable sized groups.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
