Group ride 5-24-2011

Jamie just told me that she found a frog and Mitch picked it up and chased her with it while the lil' froggy was peeing. Hahahahahahahaha. Ok well just pointed it at her. Still very funny

All these posts reflect the reason why these rides are popular......they are fun. There is no competition, just good times chatting with like minded folk. I had a convo with a "newb" to mtb last night who never thought there would be such a difference between road and mtb, he had a lot of fun, scraped his arm on a tree, and remarked how patient everybody was for him. This is the part of mtb that really recharges my batteries...I thank you all for that.

I'm the newb with the scraped arm. Although I came out of the woods bloody, muddy, and humbled, I can't wait to do it again.

Riding was an absolute blast, but the real highlight was meeting such an outstanding group of people.

Joe, Brian, Mike, and several other guys spent a good 20 minutes setting up my bike for me (yes - I'm that clueless), and Kenny provided great conversation and helpful tips and trail insight throughout the ride.

I got so much more out of this ride than I expected to; you guys are really doing a great thing for beginners like me. Hopefully, in due time, I'll be able to do the same.

Jamie was so happy with how well she rode she wanted to go out the next day. So I took her to 6mr an just let her ride and figure it out for herself. All I did was tell her what was coming up.

I was actually nice to someone?? must have been an off day.
real good to meet you hope you get out some more every time you ride you will do better than the last time...

Ha, It was a toad and I warned her when I picked it up that it was gonna pee. I think it got on her chain and seat. She said you would clean it for her. She handled it well.

Mitch is a bully... 🙂

Shut up before I hit you!! 😉

Delayed response due to driving 600 miles in 25 hours and moving furniture up 4 flights of stairs in 2 days.
