Grease or no grease for dropper post?

What did you do to remove it? I have a Reverb that’s currently stuck in my carbon Mach 429 frame. I don’t care if I trash the post.
tried to break it loose with a pipe wrench, that kind of worked but i didnt want to twist too much and damge the frame so i clamped a vice grip on and hit the vice grip with a mini sledge hammer while someone held the bike down. it took a looong time. after it was out i took some sandpaper and cleaned up the burs in the seat tube.

slightly off topic but does carbon paste prevent corrosion/bonding of the dropper to carbon frames?

i recently had to remove a dropper that was seized in a carbon frame, it was a harrowing experience. the dropper was dickered but the frame was fine.
Carbon paste seems to make posts get more stuck.. not less

follow this guy and his antics. He says that silicone based grease should be used on dropper posts in carbon frames.. he would know.
