GoPro Help

I was wondering if any of you GoPro users/professionals could give me some tips on getting some quality videos out of my Hero 3 Silver. All my videos seem to come back kind of grainy, especially the first one I linked below. Is it a problem with camera settings or camera quality in general? I've tried 720p at 60fps and 1080p at 30fps and both seem to come back subpar compared to all these awesome videos online. Could it be something to do with whatever compression does and or quality of the program being used?

Here's a terribly pixelated test video from this year on a paved trail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEtMjwNsKyw

And a video when I borrow a friends Silver last year at 6M: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1JOKNObWWQ

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Interesting. I have like the second edition gopro and video looks better and you have a newer, nicer camera. Maybe it is the software you are editing with and file format. how does the video look before you edit it?

Before editing it did not have the pixelation as seen in the first video, but still not as good as can be. I used the GoPro software for the first video and my most recent and both had the weird stuff going on. The SD card I have is this: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-MicroSDHC-Frustration-Free-Packaging--SDSDQX-032G-AFFP-A/dp/B00DM1BDKU/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1402189817&sr=8-3&keywords=sandisk+extreme+plus

I also recorded this today at 720p@30FPS and put it through the GoPro included program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8x3POlMKgZQ

What video editing software would you guys recommend and what type of file or compression?

I'll definitely have to try a different editing program. Maybe I can find a trial of a decent one and if there's no difference, try to get a camera replacement. Thanks for the help.

play the files off the memory card without editing.
If it doesn't look good, it the card may not be fast enough.
Needs to be a class 10 for best results.

try a different memory card before claiming it is the camera...

if it looks good, something is happening in editing/rendering.

I put a link up to my card, it is in fact a Class 10 (UH1) and one of the recommended cards by GoPro. Firmware is and has also been up to date throughout my videos. It does look better direct from card before any editing/compression, but as mentioned, still not as good as I see from other users. I guess next step would be to chest mount it for reduced vibration and see if that's any better and editing software for sure.
