GIS Specialist for a consulting engineering firm. GIS is pretty much digital mapping (think google earth), but I don't deal with road data. What I do is mostly geared towards water and wastewater systems so I draw lines, and make sure they connect the right way, and make sure that the data shows that poop flows downhill. When I'm luck I get to go outside and survey fire hydrants, water valves, manholes, storm grates etc but those opportunities are few and far between. BTW its boring.

I am the most hated, reviled and despised professional on the face of the earth - well, that is until you need my services, of course. Do you know what I am? In case you need a more clues, you will call me when the :hitsfan:, pay me to :argue: on your behalf, get  when I explain the process and :puke: when you receive my bill...

I pretty much do what this guy does.

In the future, I hope to develop and focus my practice on the areas of construction law, land use and related matters.

In my last job, I was a project engineer for a construction company.

Backline = 60 Watt Marshall 2 x 12 tube amp along with a 60 watt Fender 1 x 12. Combine this with a GNX 4 Processor (built in drum machine and 80(?) presents), and there’s days the sheet rock gets pummeled.

Machinist/Electrical tech/Valve mechanic
My company sells & services valves and my main job is to do repairs & service on electric actuators which are machines with electric or pnuematic motors that open and close said valves.

The valves are all over and found in refineries, power plants, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, dams and places you wouldn't even think of like the roofs and basements of lots of buildings in Manhattan. I get to drive around in a big white F-250 with a bunch of stickers on it.

I started in this field as a machinist for a valve distributor then got into the rest gradually. The good thing about my job is that there will always be work no matter what cuz everyone needs power, gas, clean water, and somewhere for they're poop to go when they flush. :D

Truth be told, I always wanted to be a... Lumberjack!!!! :p

I can top that, I am in Land Development. I'd say the only people that don't despise me are my attorneys and engineers, and even that is questionable

Oh, this is getting fun!!

Used to be's:

Taught group classes in a private music studio to brilliant kids for peanuts. As part of my employ I wrote songs for classes teaching everything imaginable including sign language(ASL).
Happiest day there: teaching 4 5-7 yr olds who never held violins to play an 8 measure ditty in one class. And then had them play it in unison for their parents when they came to pick them up 40min later... awesome!!

Pre kids:
Retail Manager Naturalizer's and Kinney's(Did I just date myself or what?)
Med office temp(for my mom)

And back in High School...
Waitress
and Avon Lady... Ding, Dong!
