So I’m looking around at different bikes to have my wife try out to upgrade her ‘19 Cannondale Habit. It’s a small and she is 5’1”
BLUF: She needs to sit and pedal a bunch and see what she likes and that’s how it’ll end up, it’s not actually my choice.
That said I, like most of us, like to over analyze EVERYTHING. She loves her Habit ( I hate it cause of AI offset, the weird super wide cranks on an DH BB that can’t get cranks smaller than 165, and the 12s HG driven hub that if you wanted to go XD or MS you need a diff axle and derailuer hanger to offset the derailer from where it is now) and easiest would be to buy a newer one which is updated with traditional standards.
The reach on the bike is 400mm but it has a really slack seat tube angle. So the ETT is rather long comparatively. Does anyone else use ETT more than reach when fitting smaller riders? If not what would be the smartest way to look at numbers that would fit her? Edju-micate me.
