Generic, safe torque values for linkages

My bike OEM doesn't publish these, so I generally use Park Tools: https://www.parktool.com/en-us/blog/repair-help/torque-specifications-and-concepts

But Park Tool doesn't provide values for frame linkages, e.g. seatstay to rocker, seatstay to axle, chainstay to axle, or shock joint pivots. Does anyone have a list of safe ranges to use or a reference to a respectable source?

It's generally by the size of the screw, not the actual location.

Aluminum, steel, or titanium, size of the screw, and the thread (coarse or fine).

Anything that deviates from those recommendations needs a label.

Ie: a shock pivot that is aluminum/8mm is typically 10nm. Steel might be 15, but they're uncommon now.

If it's not printed on the fastener or component, I'll refer to the online owners manual for that information. Maybe the LBS where the bike was purchased could provide that information.

I purchased directly from boutique OEM and their frames are better than their website...but luckily the owner got back to me with all the info overnight last night.

I should add that torque values were higher than I expected....

That is one thing I like about Santa Cruz, at times I have e-mailed about torque on parts not showing on the website. Maybe a day or two but they always got back to me and was in touch with me in the time getting back to me.

Rule of thumb, turn until you start to feel strip and back off 1/4 turn. Perfect
