I have the 605, and I think it is great. It is just a step down from the 705, and for that price I think it is good deal.

ANT+ is the connectivity protocol thats used to connect a heart rate monitor, power meter, scale (yes..a scale), etc.

ANT+ is the communications protocol used by a multitude of devices, in this scenario the Garmin Edge XXX would use ANT+ to pair to HR monitor, cadence sensor, Powertap, etc.

Plus its costco so you get their crazy return policy. Unless it falls into their 3 month return policy for computers and electronics which I don't remember mine doing when I bought a 305 from them, then you get lifetime warranty. So if anything ever goes wrong, you can return it no questions asked.
