Next off the Island.
Mom won't let him take the car and his local trails drain poorly.

I assume that's why you guys just blasted down Green Pond Road at the end?
Which was the exact time it started pouring. Other than that the trails were good. Edit word.

would you have suggested a different route? i hijacked last weeks wildcat wednesday ride which confused @Patrick since he said you guys normally go the other way out of the lot . . .
@sarcaro??

No, what you guys did is fine. That's a route I do very frequently, and then I either cross Green Pond after Oreland, or climb back into Wildcat and do something. One of my favorite ~2 hour loops is what you guys did and then climb Darlington and do orange to new way down to beach glen back to the car. AKA this:

This is another great two hour loop, but with considerably more tech:

but then i cant just open the strava routes app on my garmin for navigation assistance :(

Just put the gpx on there and follow the line. If you come to a trail intersection, look at the garmin to see which way to turn. Look down once in a while to make sure you didn't miss a turn. This is literally how I learned all of the trails in North Jersey, and it's how I go on rides when I travel. Navigation assistance is unnecessary.
