Full suspension

So ladies, I am reaching out in an effort to try and get an idea of the ride of a full suspension before dropping the cash. I am about 5'0'' tall. does anyone near my height have a full suspension that they would be will to let me test ride for a ride? I promise I won't do any damage to it. I would probably take it to like LEWMO and would love if you rode with me too! It would be one ride and I probably wouldn't need to use it until January-ish. I know this is tough bc I am little and there aren't many women near my height but even if you are 5'1'' to 5'3'' it should still work. Or if anyone knows of any shops that could demo one that would be great to! I appreciate the help!
 
Have you checked if there are any shops that would lend out a small FS for you to try? I feel like finding someone that has one in our size is almost slim to none.

i am going to call around but i am not putting any bets on it. being short stinks.
 
hey ally- pm skiphreaknj. i *think* you two are about the same size and she just came off of a FS gary fisher hifi. it may still be in the for sale section. dunno.

edit: nevermind, she sold it but it was a 15.5 so she'll at least be able to give you some info on it.

You know where the Beast is now...perhaps you can convince Stef to let you try it. 😀

Is it a 29er? I couldnt remember if it was or not. If so it might be a bit too big but hey its worth it. I am gonig to try the mtb soon at allaire and see how I feel. If its good then I am getting stef out on the mtb and I will con her into letting me ride it while we are out! 😀

yes, it's a 29er. Standover might be tough on you though. I'm a wee bit taller than you and I just made it - but worth a try.
 
Just spoke with Lauren her titus racer x is a 26er x-small I think a 15. she will let you test ride no prob she said. lewis morris is right near us . just let us know when you want to
 
I have a FS women's specific Specialized Stumpjumper. I'm 5'3"..... I'd let you borrow it but it needs a clean up and tune up.....you would probably have trouble shifting...
 
I have a Trek Top Fuel 8 in a small you could try. I'm 5'5 but have short legs. My wife is 5'1 and can ride it.

I checked around for a friend...seems they are always M or L frames so they can get rid of them at the end of the year.
 
It's one of the few things that really bothers me about being short, I've never been able to demo the proper size bike before buying.
