I'm a little confused by the wording of the 6th option: "I already Own a High power and my next Ebike with be a No power". Should the wording perhaps be "I already own a High power Ebike and my next bike will be a No power bike"? If so then I would pick that one.... unless you actually mean an Ebike with no power.

I seems that I can't edit this poll.. But it should say:

I already Own a High power and my next bike with be a no power

The kids don’t even ride pedal bikes. They just zip around on their e razors. They skid, race, dip into the teeny woods. I love it.

When I’m on a bicycle which is rarely now.. I just want simplicity so no power is preferred but if I’m buying a brand new bike I wouldn’t count e bike out. Did not vote because there isn’t an unsure option.

I already have a high power ebike (or at least as high power as I want to go) so my next bike (if I decided to get another one) will not be an ebike.

I enjoy building my bikes more than riding them, the idea of buying a fully built bike, electric or not, doesn’t appeal to me. When they’ll make modular components so there’s market for frames and motors etc. available to the public I’m sure I’ll dive into it ( if I have any money at that point).

MTB e-bikes are more expensive than a Harley or Indian motor bike by thousands. The technology on e-bikes does not balance that justification. I found this difference in comparing my pivot trail 429 bike that I bought from a local bike shop to my friends brand new Indian motorcycle. Same price, huge difference in the number of products needed for assembly.

I enjoy my self powered bike and the challenges it brings. Kudos to those that find what works for you.

Point well taken. Back in 2021 while at the Florida panhandle (Destin) for work I was on the phone with Jay about getting an e-MTB (Orbea Rise) and I also visited a Harley Davidson dealer there. They had motorcycles for the same price as an e-MTB. As crazy as that reality is, you just can't replace being able to ride on the trails for a road machine. That's the price you pay I guess.

I would argue there is a lot that goes into the proce difference. But one of the biggest things that many overlook is the scale of production. There are many more motorcycle produced than bicycles which means the parts production is optimized well beyond that the bicycle market will ever be, especially with all the marginal improvements being constantly made on the bicycle side of the equation. I could go on but I'll spare you all that boring reading
